DAY THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTY FIVE. Actually, this is not the 365th daily image either. Some of us do not count especially well. The Knowledge's one-per-day project is now really one year and two days old, and began on 28 December 2009, inspired by Smashing Magazine's challenge to design something every day. My lasting thanks to Mitch, Elaine, Jane and Chris for support and encouragement.

The Anti Classification League Works Outing, 1999

DAY THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY THREE. Mention needs to be made today about the passing of  Norman Hetherington, creator of Mr Squiggle and beloved by many a square-eyed Australian child. For forty years, Mr Squiggle's gentle demeanour, upside down drawings inspired by the random markings sent in by his young audience, and ability to travel to the moon in a rather flimsy rocket gave us something beguiling that seems to be missing from modern television. "How's that, Miss Pat?"
